As I mentioned in my last post about the diamond scarves I have been busy making for my grandparents, it was their 60th wedding anniversary celebrations last weekend. We all had a great time (perhaps surprisingly in Norfolk in February) eating too much food and hearing some lovely speeches.
I made this card to go with the gift. I was struggling a bit for inspiration, but in the end I used some sparkly wallpaper, jewel printed card (recycled from a packet of tea!) and mini heart diamantes. So it tied in with the diamond theme quite well in the end!
It is also my niece’s birthday right at the start of March. We went to Norfolk via London (not exactly en route from Manchester, but seemed like a good excuse to visit!) where she lives so I made this one for her to be dropped off with the gift whilst we were there. She’ll be 4 and loves Mr Men books, so I hope this will be a hit!
When I said I wanted to do more painting this year, this wasn’t exactly what I had in mind but I still enjoyed getting my watercolours out! I outlined using a felt tip marker and added some shiny lilac paper to mount it to the card.
