I made this necklace a few months ago, and I love it, but none of my existing earrings tone in with it very well. I don’t think everything has to match perfectly but I do like it to “go”. So, I decided to try and make a pair which would – they aren’t the most exciting earrings but I think I will get a lot of use out of them nonetheless.
Recently I have been inspired by a good friend of mine who makes beautiful jewellery which I definitley want to buy. Like me she is a fellow engineer turned crafter, and she has some great ideas on her blog. Why not check out her etsy shop?
To make the earrings I used some basic findings and left over beads. The tools were the cheapest I could find, I think if I continue to make more jewellery it will be worth investing in some better ones, but I thought I’d see if I liked it before splashing the cash.
Of course I enjoyed making them, so perhaps this is another craft to add to my range going forwards?
By the way, my crochet pattern for the necklace is available here – I’d be interested to hear from you if you have tried it as I think it would look quite different with alternate yarn or bead choices.
Lovely set! xx
Thanks Jeannie! x
Thanks for the mention Esther! Watch out, jewellery making is scarily addictive ;) x
Yes, I’m discovering that! :) And no problem, love your stuff! x
