A few weeks ago I was feeling a little stressed. I can’t even remember what about now! To snap myself out of it I pulled out a good selection of beads and started playing around, seeing what went together. I’m telling you, it’s a better cure for stress than chocolate, especially as it doesn’t contain calories!
I thought I’d give jewellery making a try as my lovely friend Rachel over at Little Koo keeps inspiring me to give it a go. These didn’t come out as good as hers but I’m happy with them nonetheless – both sets have gone as gifts already. (A birthday gift and a secret santa gift). It is lovely to be able to give something unique!
I like how the earrings match but aren’t too same-y. My favourite beads were the cut-away snakeskin ones – they shouldn’t be classy but I think they work!
Putting these together wasn’t as difficult as I thought. I’ve now added a new set of pliers, cutters and more beads to my Christmas wish list! By which point my elbow will be all healed and I can get on with making some more. :)
Esther, your jewellery is lovely! Such beautiful beads, where did you get them from?
Thanks Rachel! I got them from John Lewis. They were half price in the bargain bin! Couldn’t believe my luck. :)
