I’m back! I had a lovely holiday and found lots of things to inspire me craft-wise.
We went to Northumberland and stayed just outside Alnwick. Lots of sun, walking, countryside, castles, and wildlife. Not to mention my great family (who polished off my blueberry muffins and banana and chocolate chip slice in 2 days flat)!
I picked up this sea-glass on a coastal walk. I can never resist picking up a few things when I’m on a beach; it is usually shells but the blues of these glass pieces reflected the beautiful blue skies we had, so I went for these instead. Not sure what I’ll do with it yet, maybe some sort of pendant?
I found a great little shop in Alnwick called The Linen Cupboard, which had a delightful selection of interesting buttons at great prices. I kind of regret not buying more, but that’s ok because they are online. These 25mm buttons will either be used on cardigans or big chunky cowls; watch this space!
On the car journey I worked on my latest project, a crochet basket, but was too busy relaxing to get any done on my actual holiday. However, it is now finished and the pattern will be up in the next few days, so check back soon!
Looks like a lovely holiday! And there are a million and one things you could do with that glass, as I’m sure you know. You could have a go a wire wrapping it to make a pendant or 3. Such unusual colours!
Great minds think alike! Let me know if you have any wire wrapping tips, I’ve never tried it before…
Hmm, I’ve not ever tried wire wrapping anything without holes in. However, there are a load of ideas online I’m sure. Here’s a couple of pages with a few to get you started :)

Thanks! I’ll have a look at these. :)
